Additional notes:

This area was designed to satisfy the requirements and desires of booking.com. This project's main goal is to establish a healthy work environment while adhering to the client's corporate identity , culture and space needs. Using passive heating and cooling systems, fresh air ventilation systems, and ample natural light, the office was created with the concepts of a healthy workplace in mind.

CASE STUDY

Well-being and health are impacted by workplaces. Safe and healthy workplaces are advantageous to both companies and employees. Beyond only being safe, a healthy workplace takes into account workplace policies, the physical workspace, and the psychological atmosphere.

Companies that offer healthier options to employees have seen a number of benefits, including lower insurance premiums and absenteeism. Companies that prioritize fostering a healthy work environment have seen gains in morale, productivity, and job satisfaction.

This design was made for a web-based travel agency. 

Although not client-facing, their offices employ a combination of regular employees and staff members who travel from their other worldwide offices.

  • Store for Medical Sundries

  • Chemical Peels

  • Fillers and Botox

  • Microblading

  • Resurfacing with lasers

  • Hair removal with lasers.

Additional notes:

The structure is located in Hillcrest, KwaZulu Natal, at the intersection of Old Main Road and Nqutu Road. The Clinic needs an interior setting that accentuates a clinical, scientific, yet vulnerable attitude.  This area was planned to receive at least five stars.

Hoven:

​

Hoven is a recently opened medical center that promotes natural healing. All across the communal areas, there are connections to the landscaped gardens. The day clinic's layout is predicated on the notion that peaceful time spent in nature enhances healing.

The goal of interior design is to create a tranquil, stress-free environment. In order to support patient recovery and wellness, the architecture seeks to include natural aspects into the clinic facilities. The structure looks into how nature may heal.

The ability to restore the body's homeostasis is essential to the healing process. Cleaner air can be obtained through a balcony or patio, which also aids in promoting wellbeing, reducing stress and anxiety, and calming down.  From a sensory perspective, plants provide the perfect harmony of natural color palettes to soothe and invigorate an environment, a textile, or a company logo by providing a wide range of colors and tones.

Additionally, the clinic offers a variety of skincare items that will be included at the clinic as a Skin Care Bar, where professional therapists will give mini facials and walk clients through healthy skincare routines.

The Clinic was intended to satisfy the needs of an interior setting that supports a clinical and scientific ambiance while also emphasizing fragility. It was crucial to comprehend how the space affected the people using it. This is particularly crucial when creating environments meant to promote healing.

Figure 3: Syrian Rose: The Best Restaurant in Fordsburg.(2summers, 2021).

Syrian rose:

 

The best restaurant in the city to eat shawarmas, grilled chicken that has been spiced, and fresh fruit juice is Syrian Rose. A group of Syrian men who used to own a smaller takeaway place a block down the road now run Syrian Rose. The food at Syrian Rose is easy, delectable, and reasonably priced. On a busy intersection, the restaurant and takeaway is slightly elevated, entirely exposed, and well-protected by a balustrade that is just the correct height.

 

While home life goes on above on adjacent balconies, diners are eye level with pedestrians and taxi passengers. Somehow, all of these minor things add up to something huge, (2summers).

The original concept was fairly loosely created, with a primary focus on a counter area with a distinctive design and a spatial plan developed for it.

After that, the group created a third notion and investigated its spatial tactics. We eventually took this idea further into SketchUp. We first created potential kitchen layouts before continuing with the development process.

When conceiving the design, a wide range of forms and curves were skillfully utilized to create discrete areas. The intention behind this design was also to distinguish the area as an Instagram feature.

BREW PUB

  • The microbrewery (which is partially open to the public)

The assignment was to create a brewpub for craft beer. It is my responsibility to develop the company's visual brand identification and brand and to make sure your design accurately reflects this.

CASE STUDY

Hops Hollow Brewery's beer is a culmination of the brewer's expertise, training in science, creative flare, and love of his trade.

Situated in Mpumalanga, on the highest point of the Longtom Pass, 22 kilometers from the town of Mashishing, formerly Lydenburg, sits the Hops Hollow Country House and Brew Pub. Hops Hollow is the perfect spot for families, beer enthusiasts, outdoor enthusiasts, and peace seekers to spend the night or simply drop by for a delicious brew, a satisfying lunch, and wonderful company.

CONCEPTS

​This layout was designed to highlight the restaurant and microbrewery.

Unsteadiness when walking, trouble getting in and out of a chair, or falls are all examples of mobility issues.

  • Open work spaces with large aisles.

  • Tables with adjustable height and tilt.

  • Accessible equipment is everywhere.
